I was reading about how they diagnose a broken tailbone, and it said that they stick their finger up your bum and feel the bone and see if it moves. Sick. I know I've bruised my tailbone before, and that hurt in about the same place, but only if I leaned on it. I was actually crying yesterday b/c it hurt so bad... This was after all day at church on their less than comfortable chairs, so that probably contributed.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
In other news, I've got an appointment set for the 19th of September, when we'll have the ultra sound and be able to tell if we're having a boy or girl. I'm excited. Also just to see the baby will be exciting. I'll have to let you all know what I'm having sometime shortly after that :)
Echinacea has been shown to act as an anti-inflammatory similar in effect to Ibuprofen. Worth a shot.
ReplyDeletehm... I'll have to look into that and make sure it's ok in pregnancy. Thanks :)
ReplyDelete*coughs* i'll be at work when you find out what you're having, but if you come in that day, please feel freek to stop by my desk and let me know, will ya :D
ReplyDeleteHah, for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, but you'll still be home, our appointment is at 9:00 am. :)
I hope you're planning to give me a call...
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Mom
I say go to the doctor and let me do the finger test. I know. . it's horrible but once there they should be able to fix it - that's why we pay them the big bucks. Being in pain sucks.
ReplyDeleteThen call me then silly! we want to know :D
ReplyDeleteFor the sake of my own mental health I'm going to pretend Amy didn't just say "let me do the finger test"
ReplyDeletehah! I totally saw that, but I'm pretty sure it was an accident :)
ReplyDeleteValkyrie broke her tailbone once. I don't think that the doctors do too much for it, normally.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, but I think they make pillows to sit on with a hole in the middle so there's no pressure on the tailbone.
I've got one of such pillows... It doesn't seem to make any difference at all. :(
ReplyDeleteAmy, hopefully you're dyslexic?
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, feeling any better yet?
Love you!
Mom
