It's been a while since I posted. Things have calmed down a lot and I actually have some free time for the first time in months, so I'm working on a couple projects right now. The first of which is to make the switch to linux. Yep, thats right, I'm finally going to rid myself of Microsoft once and for all. Ok, so thats not quite true since I'll still be dual-booting Windows because well... you know. I figure that after working with FreeBSD for over a year now, the switch to linux for my desktop is a natural progression.

It felt good to finaly get all moved-in to the new house. The nice part(or not-so-nice part depending on how you look at it) about moving is that you get to buy all kinds of new stuff that you "need" for the new house; stuff like awesome new home theater speakers, networking toys, computer parts, etc

It also felt incredibly good to get through finals. I'm only taking one class this term which means I'll be able to sleep AND see Carebear all in the same day!

Caliente!

So for the Fourth, we're going to Caliente, NV to see my grandma, which should be fun. They always make a big deal of holidays there since it's such a small town. I'm excited to see my family and eat some good food (hopefully). Last time we went was a year ago, when Erik & I were Engaged. We drove over in the hot middle of summer with no ac, but the year we won't roast! I'm so excited... This is the whole reason I wanted a car with AC. We're bringing Duke and David is flying over to make the drive with us. I'm bringing her a blood glucose meter from work and it'll be fun to actually put what I've learned and my connections to a good use. I mean, i do it at work every day when random people need help, but it'll be nice to see someone I love benefit from using it.

Anyway, we got curtains for teh kitchen. It looks nice. still trying to figure out what to do to redecorate in there. It's a little boring. :)
